This statement is made in accordance to the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and sets our aim to ensure that slavery and human trafficking is not taking place in any part of our business.

Ann Mason Care was founded in 2011 and is committed to providing effective and efficient, high quality care to customers within their own home.

Within Ann Mason Care we are all committed to ensuring that there is no modern slavery or human trafficking within any part of our business.

We recognise the scale and seriousness of the problem of modern slavery and human trafficking and therefore we have a zero tolerance for modern slavery and human trafficking, any identified concern in relation to modern slavery and human trafficking would be escalated as part of our companies safeguarding process.

Within our company we acknowledge our responsibility to identify any customers who may be a victim of modern slavery or human tracking, to support this Ann Mason Care have policies and procedures to prevent modern slavery and human trafficking, which include:

Whistle blowing Policy

Safeguarding adults policy, this policy defines modern slavery and how Ann Mason Care will manage any identified safeguard concern.

A dedicated Safeguarding Lead

Every front line staff member within the company complete mandatory safeguard training which includes modern slavery, we ensure that our staff are fully aware of what they should do if they suspect a case of modern slavery or human trafficking in terms of notifying the relevant authorities and to obtain the appropriate and proper support for the victims

All new employees are subject to pre-employment checks as defined within the Care Quality Commission and best practice, whilst we are confident that the robust and identity checks we carry out on our staff go some way to ensuring modern slavery is not present in our business, we do recognise that this may not always eradicate the risk entirely.

We expect our suppliers to adopt the same zero tolerance that we commit to in relation to modern slavery, we ensure that that they adhere to our modern slavery policy and also provide us with a copy of their policy to us.
